TCT started its activities in three villages with a small healthcare project. Today its activities span over six blocks of Vellore district, covering 600 villages and about 130,000 households.
Our latest project is the Thirumalai Mission Hospital (TMH) - a not-for-profit hospital being set up in Ranipet, to offer affordable, quality health care for all.
The TMH will integrate our services to the rural poor with the new Community Hospital to provide quality healthcare to all sections of the community. We will serve the health and well-being of our community through education, primary health care, outreach programmes and other innovative services, with care and compassion.
We plan to develop TMH into a premier regional Community Health Care provider. Its services will be determined largely by the health care priorities of the community and its evolving needs.
TMH envisaged being a 100 bed hospital. It started functioning from mid April 2010 with 20 beds, consultation rooms, operation theatre, labour rooms and excellent diagnostics. This hospital aims to address a long felt need of the community.
The services will include Emergency, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedic, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dentistry, Cardiology, Diabetology and Physiotherapy. The Hospital will be well equipped with a full-fledged laboratory and diagnostic facility that would include X-Ray, ECG and Ultrasound.
